This includes procuring the majority of ingredients from local farmers who follow organic and/or responsible farming methods, striving to minimize packaging waste, and partnering with suppliers that use energy-efficient processes. These efforts are designed to protect and preserve the environment to the best of our ability, in collaboration with our partners.

Activity highlights:

• Measuring our carbon footprint: We actively monitor and work towards reducing the carbon footprint associated with our headquarters’ operations. Following ISO 14064 standards, our assigned “reasonable” level of assurance reflects our dedication to minimizing our environmental impact.

Since 2023, we have achieved close to zero Scope 2 GHG emissions by sourcing renewable electricity through Guarantees of Origin. This commitment is indefinite, with annual verification via ISO 14064.

• Closed Water Flow Circuit: Apart from the biological treatment unit for production waste, implemented back in 2009, a closed water flow circuit has been implemented in μmost of our supply chain production facilities, for pitting machine water usage, and reducing water waste significantly. Previously, water used to remove pits from olives was discarded, but now, through a closed circuit, water is efficiently reused, contributing to a more sustainable water management system.

• Recycling Partnerships: Maintaining cooperations with recycling companies, ensuring responsible disposal and recycling of carton, plastic, glass, and tins. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our immediate operations to embrace eco-friendly practices throughout our waste management processes.
