Organized by the Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan (OSAJ)—an independent, non-commercial entity—the event sets a gold standard in impartial judging, attracting elite producers from around the world.

Judges, selected by OSAJ’s Panel Committee, assess entries in a fully blind process, with strict protocols ensuring no external influence. Fewer than 35 samples per day are reviewed to preserve the accuracy and integrity of evaluations.
